Copyright Policy

1. Copyright Ownership

All artwork created by Azitz Art Studio is protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Azitz Art Studio retains full copyright and intellectual property rights to all artwork produced.

 

2. Purchase of Artwork

When you purchase artwork (including commissions, prints, or digital files), you are buying the physical item or a license to use the artwork, not the copyright itself.  Copyright remains with Azitz Art Studio unless explicitly transferred in writing.

 

3. Personal Use License

By default, all purchases include a personal use license only. This allows you to:

  • Display the artwork (physically or digitally)

  • Share the artwork on social media with credit to Azitz Art Studio [@azitiz_art-studio on Instagram]

  • Use the artwork for non-commercial, private purposes

You may not:

  • Reproduce, resell, or distribute the artwork

  • Use the artwork for business, branding, or marketing

  • Modify or create derivative works without permission

4. Commercial Use

Commercial use is not permitted unless a separate license has been purchased or agreed.  Commercial use includes (but is not limited to):

  • Selling products featuring the artwork

  • Using the artwork for advertising, branding, or business promotion

  • Monetised online content (e.g. YouTube, merchandise)

If you require commercial rights, please contact us to arrange a licensing agreement.

5. Commissions

For commissioned artwork:

  • Azitz Art Studio retains copyright unless otherwise agreed

  • Clients receive a personal use license by default

  • We reserve the right to display commissioned work in our portfolio, website, and social media unless confidentiality is agreed in advance

6. Credit & Attribution

Where possible, artwork shared publicly should be credited to:
@azitz_art_studio on Instagram

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Claim the artwork as your own

  • Remove watermarks or signatures

  • Use the artwork in any unlawful, offensive, or harmful context

  • Mint or sell the artwork as NFTs without permission

8. Copyright Infringement

Unauthorised use of our artwork may result in:

  • A request for removal

  • Licensing fees or compensation

  • Legal action where necessary under UK copyright law
